Website Redesign from Start to Finish
The Challenge
The Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics website had a poor design—making it difficult for core audiences to find information—and was running on old technology, making it difficult to update.
My Approach
I completed an audit of all current content, identified gaps, and wrote new or refreshed content as needed. I also defined the information architecture for a new website and migrated content, working closely with an agency partner on a full web redesign.
The Impact
The website went from three pages to 20+ pages with clear way-finding by audience (individuals, clergy, healthcare professionals) and end objective (learn, donate, get screened).
Web Content to Improve Outcomes
The Challenge
Treating the root cause of a patient’s symptoms often requires them to make dietary and lifestyle changes, which, let’s face it, is hard.
My Approach
Working closely with clinicians and subject matter experts, I wrote, edited, and published tailored patient education materials to enhance understanding and care plan adherence.
The Impact
Patients reported materials were easy to understand and engaging. Clinicians reported their patients better understood the “why” behind their recommendations, which increased care plan adherence.
In addition to improving patient outcomes, the materials decreased cost of care by allowing clinicians to spend less time on foundational concepts and more time tailoring interventions to a patient’s unique needs.
Provider Bios that Provide Accessible Information
The Challenge
Expert physicians at academic medical centers often have CVs that are 40+ pages long and full of technical information that’s hard for an average person to understand—so they needed to be turned into digestible profiles for a hospital website.
My Approach
I translated complex information into accessible messaging, distilling physician CVs to create physician profiles for an academic medical center and children’s hospital websites.
The Impact
Physician bios accounted for 70,000+ page views per month.
